It was so sad leaving our family, friends, and our home (Draper) since the kids were born. But all went smoothly. We were in California from May 25th until yesterday. We stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Steimle and had a great time. We enjoyed our visits with Uncle Walter and Aunt April, Aunt Shirley and Uncle Gary, and Aunt LoRene.

On Tuesday, we went to Disneyland (the first time Magdalena and James have been). James had a brief rendezvous in first-aid-Land (he swung on a chain in line for a ride and flipped around it, let go of the chain, landed on his back with a big head bonk, and ended up with quite a large goose egg on the back of his head), but he was fine after some snuggles and an ice pack. In the evening Magdalena kept saying, “This has been the best day ever!” Their two favorite parts were “It’s a Small World” and eating cotton candy. Magdalena loved the princesses and James love the Jedi training show.

The kids also had a ball picking oranges from Grandma and Grandpa’s tree and then helping Grandpa squeeze orange juice.

Late last night we arrived in Hawaii to visit Uncle Corey, Aunt Bridgette, and Jensen. More about Hawaii later.
