June was quite the month. Here are some highlights, in chronological order.
We (Magdalena, James, and I) went to Thanksgiving Point’s Farm Country with some friends from the neighborhood. In May when we went, Magdalena was afraid to ride a pony. But this time, she was excited to do it. This is her first time riding on an animal .
Magdalena absolutely loves to dance. And she sings so much. She will often sing to herself for 30 minutes in her bed after she goes to bed or when she wakes up. Here is a picture of her dancing for James.
We had our first camping trip of the summer in June. We went in Alpine with Andrea, Toby, and families. Magdalena loved it. She was so excited to sleep in the tent and slept great!
Magdalena had fun helping Mima blow out her birthday candles.
Magdalena and James had fun playing at the park with their cousins. (I love this park in Alpine because it has shade!)
This is my Grandma and Grandpa Blake with James.
We all went to Boise for Josh’s half ironman. He did great. He swam 1.2 miles, biked 56 miles, and ran 13.2 miles, all in 6 hours and 1 minute. He cut over an hour off of his time from when he did it when Magdalena was a month old. Here are some pictures of us saying goodbye to him before the race and of Magdalena and James watching for him on the race route. We were able to stay with our good friends from Japan, the Newbys, and it was great to see them!
We had the privilege of watching Toby and Jake’s 3 oldest kids while she was receiving Liberation Treatment in Costa Rica. Magdalena and James had fun with their cousins! Here are some pictures from while they were at our house.
