Looking back at my freshman year, I wish I packed a smaller vacuum so I wouldn’t have to bring a huge commercial vacuum back and forth up two flights of stairs. For the future, I bought a Dirt Devil that I can plug in and move portably with ease. I also had cleaning supplies to clean the mirror and windows. Bring some air fresheners or extra cologne or perfume to get rid of bad smells and make the room smell good as well. You are also going to want to keep your belongings clean. Bring a duster.

Yet after I told my class about my life with autism, I felt completely inspired. Very few of them knew anything at all about autism, or had a family member with the neurological disorder and therefore, they asked me a lot of questions. From that day on, I made sure I could give as many talks as possible.
